Juli seems to start feeling or getting sick in the blink of an eye.
She was great last night when she went to bed. In fact she was on the hyper side as usual. Took me a while to settle her in.
A few hours after she fell asleep, her sleep became quite restless. She started whining and talking in her sleep. I tried to comfort her.
A few minutes later she woke up and told me that she has a small fever. I thought she must be pretending as her forehead felt normal. I told her if she does it won’t last long as sleep will help.
I honestly didn’t think she did as she felt fine.
Well she was right. A couple hours after that she was a bit more restless and I felt her forehead. This time it’s warm.
Where the heck did this fever come from??? She was fine tonight!
For the rest of the night her fever fought whatever germs it was there to fight. I highly believe in the philosophy of let the fever do the job it’s there to do.
That is until it prevents Juli from sleeping and she is uncomfortable.
This wasn’t a very high fever. More like a low to medium one, but it seemed to really be bothering her. Normally she can have a low fever and she’ll still be bouncing around.
We offered her medicine, but that ended up in a freak out. She’ll ask for medicine when she has a small headache and take it happily, but now when she really could use it, she flips out and refuses :(….
Well, if her fever went too much higher, she would not have a choice in the medicine area.
We were very happy though. She managed to fall asleep and stay asleep for a few hours. She got the rest she needed and this let the fever work.
By between 9 and 9:30am this morning I felt that her fever was down. Yay!!!!!
She has been good since and becoming more of her silly goofy self as the day progressed.
I’m so glad as she has a busy and fun day lined up for tomorrow and I didn’t want her to miss it.
