One of my New Year’s goals was to become more fit. I’m not talking about losing weight as I certainly don’t need to do that lol. I need to get fit cardio wise and flexibility wise. I have zero flexibility and I don’t think I’m exaggerating.
Today was day two and it is going really well. I’m proud of myself and I’m happy to say that :).
I am starting off slowly by running on my trampoline for about 10-15 minutes a day and in a couple days I will incorporate a yoga session into my day a couple hours separate from my running session.
I really enjoy running, I just seem to enjoying running around the block with no real destination. On Monday I was watching a fitness show that talked about running on a trampoline being very good for your joints and especially good for your cardio. And so my workouts began :).
I don’t have the space for a treadmill and so I could never figure out a way to enjoy running inside my home and this is my solution. And I’m really enjoying it lol. It’s convenient, fun and good for me! I’m hooked.
I also enjoyed yoga the couple times I have tried it so I subscribed monthly to an online yoga site and get unlimited access to recorded online yoga classes for the price I would pay to attend one class. I’m looking forward to trying this out and incorporating it into my daily exercise routine and hopefully I can also have a friend or two join me :)…
I just have to make sure that the calories I burn off are less than or equal to the ones I intake lol….
I am also drinking a lot more water each day and I am paying more attention to make sure I drink what Fitbit and Water your Body recommend I drink.
I think I am on the right path and am looking forward to this journey. It is long overdue that is for sure….. but as they say “better late than never” right….?
